Home of the Brave 2006 film Wikipedia

There are many low budget movies that are still entertaining or at least watchable. The acting is community-theater level and while the storyline is okay, the dialogue is really, really bad. The movie really needed some better sound and much better editing. Removing about 20 minutes of some of the hokey dialog and pointless scenes would have improved it. In addition, it's tough to really understand what the movie is trying to touch on.

The forward vehicles of the convoy are trapped in a narrow street and forced to fight the attackers. The rear vehicles manage to escape the initial barrage by taking a side-street, only to be met with an improvised explosive device hidden in the carcass of a dead dog. Sgt. Price, the driver, is seriously wounded, as her front seat passenger is killed instantly. A soldier in their team is shot and killed pursuing the young boys who left the bomb and other attackers. Aiken is shot and killed by the police at the small fast-food diner where his girlfriend worked; a result of him taking her and her co-workers hostage with a pistol to force her to talk to him. Marsh's wife reaffirms her love for him and offers to help him through counseling.

It's not uncommon for movie trailers to include footage that does not actually appear in the finished film. For instance, one teaser trailer for Jurassic Park is made up entirely of cut footage. With this new ruling, though, the door is open for studios to be sued for putting out highly deceptive trailers. According to Variety, U.S. District Judge Stephen Wilson ruled on Tuesday that movie studios can be sued under false advertising laws if they release deceptive movie trailers. The case stems involved the 2019 movie Yesterday, which stars Himesh Patel as a man in a world without the Beatles.

The trailer for Yesterday included clips of actor Ana de Armas, famous for roles in Knives Out, The Gray Man and Blonde. Two fans of the actor filed a lawsuit in January, alleging that they had rented Yesterday after seeing her in the trailer. However, once they saw the movie they discovered that de Armas was cut out of the final film. The studio argued that movie trailers are entitled to protection under the First Amendment, claiming that a trailer is an “artistic, expressive work” and should be considered as “non-commercial” speech. Wilson rejected the argument, saying that a trailer is in fact commercial speech.

Yates undergoes basic training again and is shown patrolling the streets of an Iraqi city. Director Irwin Winkler's look at post-war life for several Iraq war veterans, is neither totally convincing nor entertaining. Was not bad, but having 50 cent in this film was a casting catastrophe.

Marsh begins to slip into self-destructive behavior as his son, angry about the senselessness of the war and what it's done to his family, gets into trouble at school. Drunk on Thanksgiving Day, Marsh brings home three yard workers for dinner to the dismay of his family. Afterwards, his wife catches him in his study with a loaded pistol contemplating suicide. There, he reveals that he does not feel any emotion over the soldiers that died, but as a doctor he believes he should. The conflict had slowly eaten away at him until he could not control it anymore.
